Periyar Wildlife Attractions
You will be very lucky to spot a tiger in the park as there are only about 40
tigers left here. Others animals which can be seen here include gaur, wild pigs,
sambar, barking deer, mouse deer and Indian wild dog. The rare lion-tailed macaque,
the Nilgiri langur, common langur and bonnet macaque can also be seen frolocking
around the branches of trees.
There are lots of fantastic Periyar Wildlife attractions available. The sanctuary is also home to many bird species including darters, cormorants, kingfishers, the great Malabar hornbill and racket-tailed drongoes. Some rare species of reptiles including python and king cobra can also be seen.

114 km from Periyar is the nearest railway station.
» By Road : Kumily is the nearest town from Periyar tours which
