Munnar
is a peaceful and tranquil little town in the Idukki district of Kerala. The

immense natural beauty, is a popular tourist destination near Munnar.
» Pallivasal :
Situated at a distance of just 8 km from Munnar, it is the site of the first
Hydro Electric Project of the state. The place is full of amazing beauty and
picturesque views.
» Nyayamakad : The naturally gifted
Nyayamakad situated about 10 kms. from Munnar has a beautiful waterfall. The
water rolling down from a height of 1,600 m presents a mesmerizing sight. The
beautiful surroundings make it an excellent hangout and picnic spot.
» Eravikulam National Park : The park covering an area of about 97
sq km is situated in the Devikulam area, about 15 km from Munnar. The park
abounds in flora and fauna. Among the many varieties of animals found here are
the Nilgiri Tahr and a pedigree breed of cattle.
» Echo Point
: The Echo Point is situated at a distance of about 15 km from Munnar. It is
the place where the natural phenomenon of echo takes place. On the way to the
top station from Munnar, it is a popular tourist spot.
