originally developed by the British to administer the area around the Kangra
Valley. The place houses some impressive monasteries which contain beautiful
images of Buddha, Padmasambhava and Avaloketeshwara.
» Kareri : Situated about 22 km from Dharamsala, in
the picture perfect environs around the Kareri Lake is a small rest house. Set
amidst tall oak and pine trees at a height of 3,250 m, the place is an abode for

mother nature.
» Triund : Triund is a popular picnic
spot, situated at an altitude of 2,827 m, about 17 km from Dharamsala. The
breathtaking view of the snow covered mountains and the lush valleys make it an
ideal spot for experiencing nature's splendour at its very best. The snowline
